  12. I downloaded the audio patch from ftp.uni-regensburg.de a couple of
  13. days ago and made the the patches to the kernel source tree.
  14. Compiling the kernel went just fine and so did compiling the kernel
  15. module...
  16. BUT: When the module is to be loaded I get a
  17. 'can't allocate memory: operation not permitted' 
  18.  
  19. I got the 1.1 binaries installed and the kernel is a pretty standard
  20. with only minor modifications ( none to the files concerning the audio
  21. patches... ). It is compiled with LKM support and I was logged in as
  22. root when trying to modload.
  23.  
  24. Anyone else had this problem? Possible solutions?
